| Nancy
Wucherpfennig
is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire with B.A. in music education. She is a flutist with Mississippi Valley Orchestra, the Borderline Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and Dolce Wind Quintet. She also performs regularly with other orchestras and chamber groups in the Twin Cities. Nancy teaches middle school band in Eagan, Minnesota, where she delights in leading young students in small ensembles, concert bands and private lessons. Nancy and husband Brad live in Burnsville and have two sons. When not making music, Nancy is running road races;
or running, biking, or walking her dog on their farm land in Wisconsin. |

Marilyn
Ford has been a very active free-lance oboist in the Twin Cites area for
over 30 years. Marilyn, Principal Oboe of the Minnesota Opera Orchestra, recently retired after
34 years of performances in over 100 operas. During this time she also served as extra
oboe with The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Orchestra, and Principal
Oboe of Vocal Essence (Plymouth Music Series) and the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. Highlights
of her career include filling in as guest Principal Oboe for both The St. Paul
Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra.
In addition to her orchestral career Marilyn is an active chamber musician.
She also has an oboe studio in her home and is a professional music engraver.
Marilyn did both her undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Minnesota
studying with Rhademes Angelucci, former Principal Oboe of the Minnesota Orchestra.
She has also done individual study with Basil Reeve, current Principal
Oboe of the Minnesota Orchestra and Richard Killmer,
former Principal Oboe of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Karen Hansen is clarinetist with Dolce Wind Quintet
and the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and principal clarinetist of the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra
and Mississippi Valley Orchestra. At Cadenza Music in St. Paul she teaches clarinet, and on cruise ships
she lectures about music. Her freelance performing includes the Schubert Club, Thursday Musical,
Minnesota Public Radio, Rochester Choral Arts Ensemble, and South Metro Chorale, among others.
Karen played in the opera chamber orchestra for five sold-out premiere performances of The
Ladysmith Story, was one of 150 musicians who performed OCEAN in a quarry with the
Merce Cunningham Dance Company, and was in the orchestra for the Moody Blues on tour in Rochester.
She is also a freelance writer and photographer. She earned her B.A. from St. Olaf College and her M.A.
from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Vicki
Wheeler is a graduate of Luther College and an active freelance musician.
She is a member of the Victory Park Brass, Ruby Trio, and the Lake Wobegon® Brass Band.
Vicki performs frequently with her horn trio, Trio Brava, and has performed with several
other professional groups including the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra,
Rochester Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, Minnesota Sinfonia, and Harmonia Mundi.
She also plays the Swiss alphorn and performs as a soloist and as a member of
several alphorn ensembles. Vicki teaches private horn lessons in her home in Minneapolis. |
| Ford
Campbell graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in Bassoon Performance. He went on to
study bassoon at the University of Southern California. Ford has been
the principal bassoonist in the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra since 1986 and
has also performed with Kenwood Chamber Orchestra, Bill Fegan Productions Touring Company,
and the Amabile Chamber Players in Kingston, Jamaica. Ford is a third grade teacher
in the Minneapolis Public Schools. |
